The Seminar of Commandants of Military Academies of the European Union – EUMACS and the Conference of Commandants of European Air Force Academies – EUAFA CC

The Commandant(Rector) of "Henri Coandă" Air Force Academy and the Vice-Rector for International Relations participated, from 15–18 June 2026, in two major international events held in Cyprus.

The first activity was the Seminar of Commandants of Military Academies of the European Union – EUMACS 2026, organized by Cyprus Security and Defence Academy (CSDA), within the framework of the European Initiative on the Exchange of Young Officers (EMILYO) and under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, held in Pafos. The seminar brought together leaders of military academies from across the European Union and included debates and sessions dedicated to international cooperation in military education, as well as special sessions on lessons learned from Ukraine and on artificial intelligence.

The second activity was the Conference of Commandants of European Air Force Academies – EUAFA CC 2026, held on 17 June 2026 in Pafos, in parallel with the Army and Navy Commandants' Workshops. The discussions focused on education and training in the field of air forces, as well as on opportunities for cooperation between European military institutions.

Participation in these events strengthens the academy's international relations and contributes to aligning its educational programs with the highest European standards.
